Jean Fay Phillips, 93, Stoystown (Kimmelton), died July 2, 2019 at Somerset In Touch Hospice House. Born Oct. 29, 1925 in Kimmelton, daughter of Harry and Vesta (Sipe) Bowers. Preceded in death by parents, husband Clyde “Bud”, grandson Gregory Scott Glover, sons-in-law Wayne Glover, Dana Keith Sr., and Terry Swank, sister Eleanor Miller, and brother Ronald Bowers. Survived by daughters: Nancy Glover, Cathy Keith, and Connie Swank, all of Stoystown; grandchildren: Brian (Melissa) Glover, Rhonda (Ronald) Stout, Dana (Kathy) Keith Jr., Melissa (Lyle) Gardner, Christy Reed, and Tonia (Joseph) Caola; 19 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; and sisters-in-law: Nancy Bowers, Betty Beal, and Kathryn Phillips. She attended Shanksville-Stonycreek High School. Former employee of various sewing factories, Coleman Co., and MHMR. Member of Mostoller United Methodist Church where she played the organ, Stoystown Legion Auxiliary, and W.D.S. She loved to be with her family and take trips to Lancaster and Florida. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mostoller U.M. Church, 549 Pompey Hill Rd., Stoystown, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday.
