Jody Ray Diest

Jody Ray Diest, 57, Berlin, died March 5, 2019 at UPMC Somerset. Born Oct. 9, 1961 in Meyersdale, son of Harry E. “Pepper” and Helen M. (Engle) Diest. Preceded in death by his father and brother, Craig Rodney Deist. Survived by his mother of Berlin, numerous cousins, and several aunts and uncles. He was a 1979 graduate of Blairsville High School. For many years, he was employed in the restaurant business. He attended Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin. Jody enjoyed martial arts and riding his motorcycle. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Dr. David Williams officiating.
