Joseph Michael Carbone, 80, Hooversville, died Jan. 1, 2022 at home. Born Jan. 12, 1941 in Hooversville, son of Louis and Ann (Wilkins) Carbone. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Beulah Keller, brothers: Louis and Ralph, sisters: Francis Dussaman, JoAnn Whipple, Nancy Cliver, Shirley MaCallops, and Louise Retassie, and great granddaughter Tia Ovellette. Survived by children: Joseph (Pam) Carbone, Jr., James (Deborah) Carbone, Anna Marie Carbone-Miller (John), and John L. (Brandy) Carbone; dear friend Leon Yates; grandchildren: Stefanie (Ed) Zegler, Jaimie-Lynn Carbone, Juilieann (Jonathan) Parks, Ashley (Andrew) Brelinski, Timothy “TJ” Miller, Jacklyn Carbone, Jenna Carbone, Joshua Carbone, Nicholas Gindlesperger, Kortnie Miller, and Victoria Carbone; great grandchildren: Emily, Brooke, Kai, Riley, Lucas, Zane, Skylynn, Charlotte, Allie, and Aurora; brother Robert (JoAnn) Carbone; and sister Susie Kitzmiller. He was a graduate of Forbes High School and an electrician at Miller Picking. He was an avid hunter and gardner. He loved fishing, cooking, and spending as much time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren as he possibly could. He would graciously donate the produce from his garden to those in need and was also generous with his time and skills. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where a service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday.
