Joseph Lynn Deem

Joseph Lynn Deem, 67, of Berlin, fought a valiant fight and went to his heavenly home April 25, 2025. Joe was born September 29, 1957 and is now reunited with his parents Clyde and Mary (Sturtz) Deem of Berlin and his brother Roger Deem of Meyersdale. At the time of his passing, Joe was surrounded by his wife and best friend of 47 years Penny (Suder) Deem and their children: Seth and Jennifer (Clark) Deem of Berlin and Lindsey (Deem) Mahoney and husband Cory of Stoystown. Joe is also survived by his brother Dale Deem married to the late Carol (Beggs) Deem of Somerset and sister-in-law Pam (Boyce) Deem of Meyersdale; two grandchildren Logan and Maelie Mahoney; two step grandchildren Jake and Luke Clark; and one step great grandson Jaxton Clark. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Joe worked as an assembler for Coleman Fleetwood Folding Trailers for 22 years and retired from Corsa Coal after 20 years. Joe was a life long member of Berlin Brethren Church. He enjoyed spending time in his garden where he always talked to Jesus. Joe loved spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing, especially with his grandchildren. Joe was a quiet, humble man and to honor his wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.
