Joseph F. Simpson

Joseph F. Simpson, 84, of Berlin, died June 18, 2024 at The Patriot. Born June 12, 1940 in Martinsburg, MO, son of James R. and Georgia Mae (Hoover) Simpson. Preceded in death by parents and 8 brothers and sisters. Survived by his wife of 60 years the former Martha Poland; children: Timothy Simpson, Karen (Jay) Fry, and Margaret (Clark) Fish; grandchildren: Cruz (Cierra), Austin, and Amber Boyer, and Brandon Fish; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a 1958 graduate of Community R6 High School, Scotts Corner, MO, and a U.S. Army Veteran. Joe retired after 51 years of servicing and building silos for Harvestore Systems. Member of Roof Garden Christian Church, Somerset Bassmasters, and Berlin American Legion and V.F.W. He enjoyed amateur radios, fishing, his dog Suzie, and spending time with his family. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 12 noon Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Pastor Art Holme officiating. Interment Beachdale Cemetery.
