Judy Ann Bittner, 77, Fairhope, died October 18, 2023 at UPMC Somerset. Born February 10, 1946 in Rockwood, daughter of Melvin and Mary (Zerfoss) Shaulis. Preceded in death by parents, husband Verl C. Jr., step mother Alice Shaulis, and son-in-law Jim Lytle, Sr. Survived by children: Kristine (Tom) Somers, Karen Lytle, and Kevin (Erin) Bittner; grandchildren: Matthew and Andrew (Haley) Varchol, and Madison, Mikaela, Nolan, and Sullivan Bittner; great grandson Jaden; brother Eric (Patti) Shaulis; sister Sandy Best; and sister-in-law Evelyn Shaulis. She was a graduate of Meyersdale High School. Member of the former Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. She was a breast cancer survivor. She loved God, her Savior Jesus, and walked with the Holy Spirit. Judy loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandson. She showed her love to people who were at their lowest or not being kind. She was caring and helped people when she could. Judy liked to joke with people and make them smile. She would always say “Sometimes you gotta laugh to keep from crying.” She loved going to the Somerset County fair, taking care of rabbits, and loved her little dogs.
