Kathleen Ellen (Brant) Long, 69, Stoystown, died July 8, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Dec. 20, 1950 in Meyersdale, daughter of Lawrence and Hazel (Weimer) Brant. Preceded in death by parents and infant brother Paul. Survived by her husband of 48 years David C. Long, son Brenden (Ilse-Renee) Long, daughter Darnel Long, grandchildren Gabriel, Brennan, Michael, Elysiah, Raphael, and Adeenah Rosario, brothers David and Philip Brant, and sisters Pam Brant (Mark Custer) and Paula (Brian) Landis. She was a graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and received her R.N. at the Conemaugh School of Nursing, Cumberland, MD, BSN from St. Joseph’s College, Portland, ME, and graduate credits from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA. She retired after 17 years as a school nurse in the North Star School District. Member of Berlin Brethren Church and Somerset Co. School Nurses Assoc. She was loved by her husband, children, and grandchildren. No viewing or service at Kathleen’s request. Memorial Contributions may be given to Berlin Brethren Church, 620 Main St., Berlin, PA 15530.
