Kathleen G. "Kate" (Walker) Stutzman

Kathleen G. “Kate” Stutzman, 89, of Friedens, died Nov. 13, 2023 at UPMC Somerset. Born Feb. 6, 1934 in Quemahoning Twp., daughter of Ray Walker and Ruth (Troy) Morris. Preceded in death by parents, husband Ralph W., sister Jean Duppstadt, and brothers: James and William Walker. Survived by children: Michael R. married to the former Barbara Miller, and Barbara married to Daniel Halverson, all of Friedens; grandchildren: Suzy (William) Housley, Jill (Lindsey) Stutzman-Deaner, Marcy (James) Lade, Jason (Amy) and Matthew (Nicole) Halverson; great grandchildren: Paige, Luke, Eve, Lincoln, Emerson, Aubrey, Kendall, Griffin, Garrett, Grady, Harper, Reed, and Toby; sister Peggy Baroni; sister-in-law Jean Friedline; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School and retired from Somerset Sewing Center. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church, where she was in the Happy Sewers Group, and Berlin and Somerset Historical Societies. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, The Pittsburgh Pirates, and spending time with her family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Friedens Lutheran Church, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. John Barichivich and Rev. Edward V.
