Kay L. (Barkman) Glessner

Kay L. Glessner, 79, Berlin, died February 21, 2026 at UPMC Somerset. Born May 22, 1946 in Somerset, daughter of Harriet Holt and the late Edgar Barkman. Preceded in death by father, son-in-law Renny Reed, and sister Peggy Sinnen. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald; children: Barbara Reed, Beth Glessner, and Scott (Michelle) Glessner; grandchildren: Kaylin (Justin) Trent, and Dylan (Lea) and Logan (Erin) Glessner; great great grandchildren: Hayley and Chevy Trent and Ryder, Ava, and Laynie Glessner; and sister Nancy Gibson. She was a1964 graduate of Shanksville Stonycreek High School. Member of Unity United Church of Christ and the Shanksville Fish and Game Camp in Potter county. She liked sewing, crafts, and cooking for many. There will be no viewing or service at Kay’s request. Contributions may be given to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Somerset, 314 S.
