Leonard Bowser Obituary

Leonard E. Bowser, 81, Wilbur, died May 5, 2022 at the Patriot. Born Nov. 20, 1940 in Somerset, son of Clyde and Mary Jane (Riley) Bowser. Preceded in death by parents, infant daughter Laura Jean, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Margaret “Peggy” Hetzer; sons: Leonard D. (Diane) Bowser and Daniel E. (Christine) Bowser; grandsons: Josh (Kerri) Bowser, Kyle Bowser and girlfriend Erika Ferrante, and Christian and Micaiah Ostrander; great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Dillon, Camren, Connor, Sophie, and Hendrix; and brother Carl Bowser. He was a former mechanic and welder for Three S Coal. He attended Otterbein United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working on cars and trucks, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. Family will receive friends from 12 noon until service at 2 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Pastor Joe Caola officiating. Interment Otterbein Cemetery.
