Linda J. (Barwatt) Leverknight

Linda J. Leverknight, 77, Berlin, died October 2, 2023 at home. Born January 14, 1946 in Windber, daughter of Andrew J. and Anna Louise (McQuade) Barwatt. Preceded in death by parents and husband James. Survived by daughters Michelle (Leverknight) Bell, York Haven, and Jody Leverknight, Charleston, SC; grandchildren: Joshua (Rebecca) Bell, Cameron Bell, and Colt Smith; brother Barry (Margie) Barwatt; and sister Vivian Ferko. She was a 1963 graduate of Shade-Central City High School. She worked for GTE/Verizon for 32 years. She also served on the board of directors for JSTC Federal Credit Union for 22 years. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, and the Berlin VFD Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling/cruises, playing cards with her friends, and spending time with her family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin.
