Lloyd William Young

Lloyd William Young, 82, Somerset, died November 17, 2023 at UPMC Altoona. Born March 6, 1941 in Black Twp., son of Samuel and Hilda (Mitchell) Young. Preceded in death by parents and wife, the former Patricia Rice. Survived by children: Lloyd (Tina) and Danny (Darla) Young, Janie (Mark) Hersh, and Robert Young; grandchildren: Beth (Jim), Jesse (Amber), Amy (Cody), Megan (Brandon), and Lisa (Jeremy); great grandchildren: Zoey, Sierra, Emma, Piper, Kaiden, Iris, and Nicholas; and siblings: Mary Tharp, Robert Young, Thelma Livengood, and Debra Jankowski. He was an Army veteran and worked in the mining industry for many years. Member of UMWA. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
