Lois E. Wolfersberger, 93, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Friday July 19, 2024 at Homewood at Plum Creek following a long illness. Born on Saturday, August 23, 1930 in Berlin, she was a daughter of the late Stewart Cleveland Saylor and Rachel Jane Paul Saylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William W. Wolfersberger, who died in 2013; her siblings, Velma R. Saylor, Dorothy M. Zarefoss, R. Paul Saylor, Stewart W. Saylor, Phyllis I. Claypool, Donald E. Saylor, Elbert L. Saylor, Allen Gene Saylor, and F. Dwight Saylor. Lois is survived by two sisters-in-law, Helen and Janet Saylor; and many nieces and nephews. Lois was a 1949 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and was employed by the Winchester, VA Commissioner of the Revenue office. Lois was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester. She was a former member of Order of the Eastern Star, had a love of growing beautiful flowers, reading, and especially, spending time with family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Rev. Robert Keplinger officiating.
