Mark E. Bowers

Mark E. Bowers, 65, Somerset, entered his Eternal Home May 13, 2025 at home. Born August 20, 1959 in Somerset, son of Janet (Putman) Bowers and the late Ralph W. Bowers. Also preceded in death by brothers-in-law Ken Foster and Dave Walker, and sister-in-law Cindy Bowers. Survived by his mother, of Listie; wife of 45 years, the former Jodie Dunmyer; children: Amy (Phillip) Stutzman and Adam (Amanda) Bowers; grandchildren: Paige, Cole, Conner, and Gabe Stutzman, and Aiden and Ava Bowers; brothers and sisters: Gloria Foster, Dave Bowers, Vicki Walker, Ron (Valerie) Bowers, and Brad (Danielle) Bowers; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a 1977 graduate of Somerset High School and was a retired natural gas well technician for XTO Energy. Founding member of Laurel Highlands Church of Christ, Stoystown. He enjoyed coaching baseball, hunting, fishing, bike riding, and spending time with his family and church family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Highlands Church of Christ, 221 Dunmyer Rd., Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. There will be no viewing prior to the service Thursday. Evangelist Brantley Rigo officiating. Interment Listie Cemetery.
