Martha E. (Slope) Zeigler

Martha E. Zeigler, 69, Somerset, died February 5, 2026 at UPMC Mercy. Born February 22, 1956 in Meyersdale, daughter of Steven and Dorothy (Lance) Slope. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Charles, James, and John Slope, sisters Carol Jean Norris and Dorothy Slope; and father-in-law Jerry “Rufus” Zeigler. Survived by her husband of 30 years, Michael; sons: Timothy (Erin) and Jeffrey (Jessica) Baker; grandchildren: Zachary and Lauren (Tyler Zimmerman) Baker, Jeffrey Cole (Khaliah Stradford) Baker, and Olivia (Tyler) Combs; great grandchildren: TJ, Addisyn, Braxten, and Jacksen; brothers: Harry (Rose) Joseph (Kay) Paul (Peggy), and Jack Slope; mother-in-law Barbra Zeigler; and brother-in-law Joseph Zeigler. She was a 1974 graduate of Somerset High School and was the General Manager of the Comfort Inn in Somerset. She loved camping, shopping, casino trips, and spending time with friends and family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Interment Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
