Mary Jane (Gorsuch) Blair

Mary Jane Blair, 80, of Morehead, KY, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead. Born August 18, 1940, in Windber, daughter of the late Hayden and Imogene Gorsuch. Jane is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Leo Blair; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Jeannie Blair and Jason and Tricia Blair; and four grandchildren, Brooke, Lauren, Jacob, and Jaylynn Blair, all of Georgetown, Kentucky.  Other survivors include her sister, Barbara Berkley of Friedens, Pennsylvania, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In 1975, Jane, Leo and their sons moved to Morehead when Leo accepted a faculty position in the Department of Music at Morehead State University.  Prior to Morehead, Jane, an R.N., worked in the metabolic unit at West Virginia University Medical School and University Health Services at Ohio University. Active in the Morehead community, she enjoyed her primary role of wife and mother and later was named Director of University Health Services at MSU.  She retired in 2000.   Jane was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Morehead and a member of P.E.O., a philanthropic women’s organization.  She cherished spending time with her family, particularly the four grandchildren, who brought her great joy.  Jane will be fondly remembered by family and friends.
