Mary Peterman Obituary

Mary Louise Peterman, 84, Chambersburg formerly of Friedens, died March 6, 2021 at home. Born April 12, 1936 in Tire Hill, daughter of Charles M. and Anna E. (Vinsoky) Oster. Preceded in death by parents, husband of 56 years Kenneth “Jay” Peterman, brother Walter E. Oster, and sister Margaret J. Powell. Survived by daughter: Tina Louise married to Kent Franklin, Falls Church, VA; sisters: Doris Mastrocola, Camillus, NY, Dorothy M. Meinke and Anna Mae Matse, both of Chambersburg, and Barbara (Paul) Muro, Lambertsville. She was a 1954 graduate of Conemaugh Twp. High School and was retired from Arlington County, VA where she worked from 1979-1995. Member of Hooversville Church of the Brethren. She loved listening to music, cooking, and most of all visiting with friends and family. She also loved to talk about news and current events. Viewing from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hooversville Church of the Brethren. Masks and social distancing required. Rev. John Eash officiating. Interment P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Hooversville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Hooversville Church of the Brethren, 195 Lohr St., Hooversville, PA 15936.
