Maude (Coughenour) Kimmel

Maude Kimmel, 97, of York, formerly of Berlin, died July 24, 2024 at home. Born October 18, 1926 in Buckstown, daughter of Homer and Ethel (Egolf) Coughenour. Preceded in death by parents, husband Ray Kimmel, grandson Danny Ray; sisters Verna and Emma Coughenour, Gladys Grenke, Elma Felton and Helen Spangler, and brothers Melvin and Kenneth Coughenour. Survived by her son Danny (Maria) Kimmel; granddaughter Lisa (Theodore) Wade; great grandsons: Charles (Erika) Kimmel and Alex Wade; great granddaughter: Catelyn Kimmel; great great granddaughters: Daniella and Delilah; sister Mary Carole Lehman; and brothers: Wayne and Samuel (Margie) Coughenour. Maude was a graduate of Shanksville Stonycreek High School. She was a member of Abundant Life Christian Center, Berlin. She enjoyed spending time with her family. The family is so grateful for the care she received from Amedisys Hospice, especially her nurse, Brittany Remp. There will be no viewing or service at Maude’s request.
