Mervin Vuckovich, 87, of Windber, died March 24, 2025. Born July 10, 1937 in Johnstown, son of Michael and Mary (Gunny) Vuckovich. Preceded in death by parents, brother Rodney Vuckovich, and sisters: Melva Marinkovich, Mildred Marinkovich, and Cecelia Wadsworth. Survived by wife of 46 years the former Karen Boyer; daughter Debra (Ray) White; son Michael (Corissa) Vuckovich; grandchildren: Morgan (Blaine) Burnett, Daniel Barr, and Nora and Nolan Vuckovich; great grandchildren: Beckham, Olivia, and Blakely Burnett; and sister Zora Biggs. He was a graduate of Westmont High School. Merv drove delivery truck for 11 years at Galliker’s Dairy. He then began a career at United Parcel Service, serving the Meyersdale and Berlin area for 28 years. He loved the people on his route and made many friends. He taught Sunday School and would do lay preaching when called by a church for many years. He loved to teach and preach prophecy. He lived his life in anticipation of the rapture. Family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until a Celebration of Life at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Cremation Center, 976 Barn St., Hooversville. Interment P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Hooversville.
