Miles K. Costello, Jr., 90, Fairhope, died January 22, 2026 at UPMC Shadyside. Born October 6, 1935 in Windber, son of Miles Sr. and S. Madeline (Hillegas) Costello. Preceded in death by parents, step father Walter “Spike” Singer, step mother Naomi Costello, wife of 67 years the former Edith Delores Rowe, brother Marlin Costello, and a great great grandson. Survived by his children: Linda (Ken) Shue, Roy (Annalee) Costello, Gary (Christine) Costello, Ruth (Steve) Boyer, Dana Costello, and Dona Murtha; grandchildren: Mandy Oswalt, Sonya Keifer, Ashley Costello, Christine (Rob) Hinkley, Shane (Cassidy) Boyer, Stephen (Lindsey) Boyer, Jr., and Sarah Murtha; 17 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and a sister-in-law Phyllis (Jerry) Sherle. He was a graduate of the former Adams Summerhill High School. He was retired from Witco Chemical Company in Trainer. Member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Fairhope, FOE Aerie 1801 Somerset, New Baltimore Sportsman’s Club, Meyersdale and Somerset Masonic Lodges for 63 years, and Altoona Jaffa Temple where he was past Potentate in 2016. Charter member of Norwood Lions Club and past Master of Prospect Park Hamby Lodge. Former Allegheny Twp. Supervisor. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday January 31st at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Vicar Penny Koontz officiating.
