Nancy Joyce (Wirbick) Hoover

Nancy Joyce Hoover, 82, Indian Lake, passed peacefully on December 27, 2020, at Windber Hospice. Mother to 5, “Mom” to all! Born May 3, 1938 in Stoystown Borough, daughter of Fred J. and Pearl Louise (Berkebile) Wirbick.  Preceded in death by parents, former husband Glenn F. Boyer and son-in-law Jim Brant. She was married to her second husband Robert Hoover in 1974. Survived by children: Glenn Boyer II, Tammy Thompson and husband Scott, Sherri Brant, Jeffrey Boyer and N. Boyer; granddaughter Vanessa Wagner and husband Michael; sisters: Sarah Jane Metzgar, Joann Eutin, Jackie Struky and Jean Torrence; and brother Joe Wirbick. She was a graduate of Forbes High School. Lion Tamer, Former Capital Airlines Stewardess and Member of the Ancient and Honorable Order of Turtles (You bet your sweet ass she was!). She enjoyed cooking and baking for everyone, working outdoors, spending time with her family and not wearing shoes! A memorial service will be held at a later date.
