Nancy H. (Schafer) June

Nancy H. June, 87, of Stoystown, died May 11, 2024 at Windber Hospice. Born February 13, 1937 in Queens, NY, daughter of Christian and Margaret (Grahl) Schafer. Preceded in death by parents, son William June, and brother Christian Schafer Jr. Survived by children: Andrew Jr. and Nancy (Paul) Dedik; grandsons: Paul (Kayla) Dedik and Sgt. Adam Dedik U.S. Army; and great grandchildren: Ella, Finn, and Hazel. She was a graduate of Queens Commercial High School and the owner of Nancy’s Café for 40 years. Member of the former Grace Lutheran Church, Stoystown. She enjoyed working at the coffee shop, her customers, bus trips, and spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons. The family would like to thank Windber Hospice and her caregivers at home. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.
