Norman Prinsloo Obituary

Norman Lewis Prinsloo, 71, of Hooversville, formerly of West Point, MS, died Nov 11, 2025 at home. Born Oct 14, 1954 in Weenen, South Africa, son of the late Nicholas and Tressa (Skippers) Prinsloo.

Survived by his wife of 46 years the former Ester Bosch; children: Maryann, Naphtali (Sarah), and Manesseh (Harmony) Prinsloo, and Susanna (Andrew) McCormick; grandchildren Jesse (Haley), Naomi, and Isaiah Mumford, Jordan and Leah Johnson, Anna, Asher, Siboniso, Manesseh, Hekekiah, Paneah, Zaphnath-Paaneah, and Hadassah Prinsloo, and Druw and Ava McCormick; great grandson Rezin Mumford; and sister Zelma Williams.

Norman was an extraordinary man, a revivalist in South Africa, taking any measure to take the Gospel to the most hostile regions of Africa. Many times in danger he showed unwavering certainty and bravery in the face of adversity.

In 1996, Norman answered the call of God to preach the Gospel in the United States of America, before returning to South Africa to plant a church, before returning to America full-time in 1999 where he continued to preach the Gospel and pastored a church in Philadelphia. Once he retired, he aired on a radio show in Mississippi and continued his impact through his daily walk. Norman Prinsloo touched tens of thousands of lives, to which he will someday see the results of his impact. His rare imprint on the world will live on through his remaining family members.
