P. Jean (Kimmel) Blackburn

P. Jean Blackburn, 94, of Friedens, died Dec. 21, 2022 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born Feb. 9, 1928 in Bedford, daughter of Sharon Woodward and Susan Mae (Blackburn) Kimmel. Preceded in death by parents, loving husband J. Clark Blackburn, brother Frank Kimmel, and sisters: Violet Kerr, E. Pauline Derry, and Louise Suter. Survived by daughter Susan C. Watts; son John C. Blackburn; and grandchildren: Alyse Jean Blackburn and Jonas Watts. She was a graduate of Napier Twp. High School. As a teenager Jean worked at the Ship Hotel. Member of Shanksville United Methodist Church. Jean had a passion for breeding, raising, and riding Tennessee Walking Horses.
