Paul Ellsworth Berkey, Sr.

Paul Ellsworth Berkey, Sr., 85, Berlin, died March 16, 2022 at home. Born July 30, 1936 in Somerset, son of Lemon and Violet (Snyder) Berkey. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Grace Keefer, sisters: Sara Zerfoss, Elizabeth Holt, and Patricia Gowarty, and brother Mike Berkey. Survived by sons: Paul Jr. and wife Li, Denton, MD, and Brian and wife Rena, New Paris; grandchildren: Heather (Julio) Arocho, Heidi (Tim) Williams, and Jaime, Chase (Amanda), Brianna, and Holly Berkey; and 8 great grandchildren. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Local #66. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin and Mountain Field and Stream Club. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing.
