Ralph J. Maschue

Ralph J. Maschue, 79, Somerset, died August 28, 2021 at UPMC Somerset. Born May 17, 1942 in Johnstown, son of Julius and Jennie (Spisak) Maschue. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Patricia K. Borodic, and brother Raymond Maschue. Survived by sons: Doug (Alice) and Jeremy (Courtney) Maschue; grandchildren: Corey, Olivia, Jesse, Ryker, Maddox, and Kathryn Maschue; and brothers: Robert (Melissa) and David (Diane) Maschue. He was a 1962 graduate of Forbes High School and was a Vietnam Era Navy veteran. He was a caster at the former Crane/Briggs manufacturing. Member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Somerset where he volunteered at the fish fry’s, the Somerset American Legion and VFW, and the Quemahoning Rod and Gun Club. He was the “honorary Mayor” of Sunny Acres. Ralph enjoyed attending car shows, hunting, and mowing grass. Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where a service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Angelo Patti Celebrant.
