Ray D. Coleman, 85, Berlin, died March 11, 2026 at home. Born July 28, 1940 in Berlin, son of Harry P. and Myrtle R. (Brick) Coleman. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Eugene, Harry V., and Junior Coleman, sister Edna Knepper, and great grandson Hunter Mills. Survived by his wife of 62 years, the former Linda Mowry; children: Bryan (Stacey) Coleman and Crystal (Matthew) Walker; 7 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren plus one on the way; and sisters: Violet Zorn and Emily (Jay) Berkey. He was a 1958 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School. Ray was a farmer and then was the owner of the New National Hotel for many years. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, New Baltimore Sportsman’s Club, and Berlin American Legion. Former member of Berlin Old Timers Softball team. He enjoyed motorcycling, fishing, and crossword puzzles. Ray donated his body to science in order to help his fellow man. There will be no viewing or service at Ray’s request.
