Raymond Gerald “Jerry” Coles, 86, Meyersdale, died March 20, 2022 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born Dec. 30, 1935 in New Brunswick, NJ, son of Gerald and Ethel (Marshall) Coles. Preceded in death by parents and first wife the former Johnnie Jones. Survived by his wife of 13 years, Glenda (Compton) Shultz, daughter Wanda Kountz; step son Robert (Murue) Shultz; grandchildren: Jason (Emily), Heather, Tiffany, and Ethan (Destiny) Kountz; 7 great grandchildren; and sister Janice Bentzly. He was a 1955 graduate of North Miami High School and was an Air Force Veteran. He was a former truck driver for Winn-Dixie and retired from Penske Trucking in 1997. He attended Hay’s United Church of Christ. Member of F.O.E. Aerie # 1801, Somerset and the former Sugar Bush Car Club. He loved his antique car, traveling to car shows, car cruises, and traveling around the country.
