Richard L. Hay, 80, Berlin, died August 1, 2021 at Rest Assured Living Center. Born Oct. 21, 1940 in Harrison, son of Orlo and Esther (Mort) Hay. Preceded in death by parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Survived by his wife of 62 years, the former Joyce Vought; children: Roxanne (Allen) Sullivan, Richard Alan (Kimberly) Hay, Darren (Rebecca) Hay, and Matthew (Melanie) Hay; grandchildren: Lauren, Connor, Morgan, Madison, Kaylee, Ryan, Kayla, and Cohen; and brothers: Robert, Ralph (Janet), and Charles (Gloria) Hay. He was a former tipple operator for Svonavec Coal Co. and retired from T. Rich Croner, Inc. Member of Berlin Alliance Church, Berlin Sportsmen’s Club, and Mountain Field and Stream Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially rabbit hunting with his beagles. Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Berlin Alliance Church, 725 N.
