Richard Eugene Hoover

Richard Eugene Hoover, 71, Garrett, died January 12, 2024 at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born November 2, 1952 in Meyersdale, son of Paul and Leona (DuPont) Hoover. Preceded in death by parents and infant son Kevin. Survived by children: Robert (Melissa), Richard Jr. (Cassie), Mandy, and Timothy (Samantha) Hoover; several grandchildren; and brothers James (Dana) and Keith (Julie) Hoover. He was a 1970 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and was a former employee of Gilmour Manufacturing. He enjoyed recycling and had a great love of animals, especially his late canine companion, Buster. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Rev.
