Richard L. Vogt, Sr., 85, Meyersdale, died April 29, 2026 at UPMC Somerset. Born March 15, 1941 in East Brady, son of Homer G. and Thelma (Seybert) Vogt. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Mona L. Dando, brothers George H., Kenneth, and John Vogt, sister Esther Wood, and infant sister Betty Jean Vogt. Survived by sons: John L. (Corina) and Richard L. (Susan) Vogt, Jr.; grandchildren: Sydney (Nelson) Gaydos, Sloane (Weston) Specht, and Donovan, Richard (Adrienne), Ryan (Jessica), and Carter Vogt; and great grandchildren: Harper, Hendrix, Madilynn, Myles, and Owen. He was a 1960 graduate of East Brady High School. Former mechanic at Charley Brothers, Greensburg, and former owner/operator of the Meyersdale Shop ‘n Save. Member of Christ United Church of Christ, Latrobe, Loyalhanna Masonic Lodge # 275, where he was a past master in 1972 and 1982, and Tall Cedars. He enjoyed his 1961 Chevy Impala convertible, flying planes, and spending time with his family. No viewing or service. Interment Coles Cemetery, Derry.
