Rita Clare (Schnell) Pollock

Rita Clare Pollock, 84, Friedens, died Dec. 30, 2022 at home. Born June 22, 1938 in Johnstown, daughter of Francis and Virginia (Cook) Schnell. Preceded in death by parents, husband Edward Sr., infant twin daughters Rita and Anita, and brothers Thomas and Raymond Schnell. Survived by sons: Edward (Cheryl) Pollock Jr. and Douglas (Jillian) Pollock; grandchildren: Melissa (Jason) Updyke, Vincent (Jami) Pollock, and Cole Pollock; great grandchildren: Madison, Alivia, Andrew, and Julia Updyke, and Payton Pollock; and beloved friends: Judy O’Baker, Deb Neimeic, and Jerry Johnson. She was a graduate of the former Catholic High School, Johnstown and received her LPN in Florida. Member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Somerset. She was an avid walker and reader. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Somerset. Rev.
