Robert Charles Johnson

Robert Charles Johnson, 89, Stoystown, died May 29, 2022 at UPMC Somerset Hospice. Born Dec. 27, 1932 in Stoystown, son of Robert B. Johnson and Grace (Sheeler) Johnson Zimmerman. Preceded in death by parents, step father Mervin Zimmerman, daughter Karen Largent, and sister Kathleen Koontz. Survived by his wife of 64 years the former Betty Snyder; sons R. David (Deanna) Johnson and R. Brian (Kathy) Johnson; grandchildren Cory and Casie Johnson; step grandchildren Danielle Lloyd and Joshua (Megan) Lloyd; brother Jay Zimmerman; and sister Charlotte Kuhs. He was a graduate of Forbes High School and was a retired steelworker. Former maintenance supervisor at the Stoystown Hite House. Member of Grace Lutheran Church, Stoyestown Area Historical Society, and Stoystown Fire Co. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
