Robert D. Leydig

Robert D. Leydig, 69, Glencoe, died Oct. 22, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 1, 1952 in Glencoe, son of John and Dorothy (Fisher) Leydig. Preceded in death by parents, brother Richard, and sister Barbara Ackerman. Survived by his wife of 41 years the former Eleanor Yoder; children: Heather (Hilton) Pyle, Shane (Amanda), Shawn (Melissa), Nathan (Jessica) and Matthew (Ceara) Leydig; grandchildren: Austin, Logan, Ethan, Tanner, Jeremiah, Emily, Ciara, Alex, Mattilyn, Aaron, Merritt, Abby, and Emeilia; step grandchildren: Drew and Curtis; step great grandchildren: Matthew and Mason; brothers: John (Elsie), James (Wanda), Ronald (Roxann), and Kenneth (Patricia) Leydig; and sisters: Elsie Knotts, Joyce (Alfred) Knotts, Norma (Jack) Logsdon, and Betty Merkel. He was a graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and was a retired milk truck driver. Member of First Apostolic Church of Somerset where he took care of the electronic media. He enjoyed working on his computer and being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Apostolic Church of Somerset, 141 Forward Blvd., Somerset, PA 15501. Pastor Chad Bradley officiating. Interment Mt.
