Rodger Mason Lambert

Rodger Mason Lambert, 67, of Somerset, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 surrounded by family after a long journey with cancer. Rodger was born March 17, 1953 in Somerset to Vernon and Mary (Landis) Lambert. He graduated from Shanksville-Stonycreek High School in 1971. On September 25, 1976, he married his former partner and lifelong best friend Bonnie Adams. Rodger was employed with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 35 years as a dedicated care taker.  He enjoyed high school sports, the outdoors, gardening, reading, and most of all, spending time with his family. Rodger is survived by his two children, Tyler Lambert of Sandy Lake, Tasia (Lambert) Mostoller, married to Eric, of Somerset, and step-son Christopher Adams of San Diego, CA. In addition, Rodger is survived by the pride and joy of his life, his two granddaughters Madisyn and Lillian Mostoller, along with his dedicated sister, Sylvia (Lambert) Barron, married to Charles, and his loving brother Terryl L. Lambert married to Doris, all of Somerset. Rodger was a friend to all who met him. He enjoyed the simple things in life. At his request, a private memorial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, consider a random act of kindness, wave at a stranger, take a walk or simply take a moment to reflect on life’s greatest blessings.
