Roger Ellwood Bittner

Roger Ellwood Bittner, 71, of Meyersdale, died Sept. 3, 2022. Born Feb. 24, 1951 in Somerset, son of Harry and Ferne (Llewellyn) Bittner. Preceded in death by parents and sister Barbara Jean Miller. Survived by his wife of 46 years the former Karen Fogle; brother Terry Lee (Teresa) Bittner; brothers-in-law Randall Lee Fogle, Michael (Betty Ann) Fogle, and Roger Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a 1969 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and a self-employed tractor trailer driver. Roger attended Beachdale Church of the Brethren, where he took part in woodworking for the Women’s Outreach. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Beachdale Church of the Brethren. Pastor Tammy Horner officiating.
