Roy C. Bucher

Roy Charles Bucher, 91, Berlin, died February 10, 2025 at Countryside Personal Care Home. Born December 8, 1933 in Pittsburgh, son of Charles and Mildred (Kordick) Bucher. Preceded in death by parents and wife of 60 years, the former Mary Lash. Survived by brother Richard Bucher and wife Karen. He was a 1952 graduate of McKees Rocks High School and a 1956 graduate of Cal. U. with a BA and an MA in Industrial Arts. Roy was a US Army veteran. He taught at Meyersdale Area Schools for 30 years. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin, Berlin Lions Club where he served as Secretary, Treasurer, and President, Somerset County Amateur Radio Club where he served as Secretary, Treasurer, and President, the National Education Assoc., and a life member of the PA State Education Assoc.  Countryside Personal Care Home cared for Roy like no other and treated us like family. Huge thanks to them and Heartland Hospice, especially Bre, Andy, and Monica. Family will receive friends from 4 until service at 6 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev.
