Roy T. Penrose, Jr.

Roy T. Penrose Jr., 58, of Somerset, passed away on October 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on November 11, 1966, Roy lived a life dedicated to his family, his passions, and his faith in the great outdoors. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Cindy Hummel, and a proud father, stepfather, and adoptive father who cherished every moment spent with those he loved. Roy is survived by his children: Bradley of Georgia; Shawna (Randy) of Renovo; and Roy (Kelly) of Central City. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Amanda (Anthony) of Somerset, Kenneth (Tiffany) of Somerset; and by his adopted children, Aigner, Landon, Dallas, Lydia, and Aaliyah, all of Somerset. Roy was blessed with many grandchildren who brought great joy to his life, including Devon, Brayden, Brett, Brennon, Hunter, Lillian, Lucas, and Willow. He is survived by his brothers, David and Dana, and his sisters, Brenda and Tonya. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Penrose; stepfather, Robert Worth; father, Roy Penrose Sr.; and other loved ones who welcomed him into eternal rest. Roy had a deep love for the outdoors. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, golfing, and cheering for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. His loyal dog, Bear, was always by his side—a constant and faithful companion. Roy’s life was one of dedication, laughter, and a deep love for those around him. He will be remembered for his warm heart, strong spirit, and the lasting legacy he leaves in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
