Shirley Ann (Brown) Gibson

Shirley Ann Gibson, 85, Somerset, died April 7, 2026 at UPMC Somerset. Born June 14, 1940 in Johnstown, daughter of Kenneth and Anne (Krevetsky) Brown. Preceded in death by parents and sisters-in-law Linda Rodger Brown and Jean (Sam) Fox. Survived by her loving husband of 66 years Robert H; children: Barbara married to Al Gaiardo, Mark married to the former Tracy Snyder and their children Benjamin (Hannah) Gibson and Bradley Gibson, and Donna Kendall and her children Jason (Erika Pfeiler) Lassinger and Brandon (Rachel) Kendall; brothers Kenneth Jr. (Peg) Brown and Barry Brown; sister and brother-in-law Shirley (Glenn) Walker and Richard (Barbara) Gibson. She was a 1958 graduate of Forbes High School where she was a majorette and a Forbette. Shirley was a retired cashier from the former Riverside Market, Somerset. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother, and made the best banana milkshakes. She was very artistic, especially making Pysanky eggs, and creating and making clothing. Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Stoystown. Rev. Sharon Fox officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
