Shirley Belle Glessner, 84, of Stonycreek Township, moved to her home in Heaven June 12, 2025. Her parents were William and Ferne (Walker) Flamm and she was born at the family farm on March 22, 1941. Shirley was dearly loved by so many friends and neighbors. She enjoyed riding with her daughter in her golf cart to see her farm, spending time with her grandchildren, making her famous baked macaroni and cheese, getting together with her sisters and their families, reading books and her newspaper, donating her time to her church and Eastern Star, and watching Hallmark movies on Sunday as well as eating her cookies and potato chips for snacks. She was employed at Somerset Farm Bureau, was a housewife and helped her husband on their dairy farm. She was a very active member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Roxbury and a Past Worthy Matron of Trinity Chapter #138 Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, son Leroy and brother-in-law Thomas Anderson. Shirley is survived by her daughter Christine (Sam) Hemminger, granddaughter Faith Hemminger (fiancé Jared Karenbauer), grandson Noah (Lauren) Hemminger, daughter-in-law Tammy (Robert) Sheeler and their children Brooke (David) Chambers, and Will Sheeler, and her sisters Betty Anderson and Polly (Donald) Landis. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin where an OES Service will be held at 6 p.m. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
