Shirley Joyce (Shaffer) Sechler

Shirley Joyce Sechler, 92, Somerset, joined her husband in Heaven on August 30, 2023 at The Patriot. Born June 11, 1931 in Quemahoning Twp., daughter of Ray and Grace Virginia (Mostoller) Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents and husband Ronald Jay Sechler. Survived by her daughter Lori married to Craig Coddington, Somerset; grandson Justin Coddington married to the former Brandy Barta; granddaughter Katie married to Bud Colflesh; great grandchildren: Riley and Robbie Coddington, and Austin Colflesh. She was a graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School and was retired from J.J. Newberry’s, Somerset. Active member of Mostoller United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, reading the Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday at Mostoller United Methodist Church and 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Pastor Joseph Caola officiating.
