Shirley A. Shaffer, 85, Berlin, formerly of Friedens, died January 15, 2023 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born January 3, 1938 in Somerset, daughter of Arthur W. and Sidney (Arisman) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, husband William, grandson Jacob, sisters Betty Farnham and Emma Bowman, and brothers George and Harry Miller. Survived by children: Patty married to Joe Cummings, Debbie married to Roger Blough, and Dave married to the former Amy Tressler; grandchildren: Alexa Kreger (Lacie Surdick), Ryan Cummings, Billy (Michelle) Blough, Cindy (Justin) Delaini, and Eli Shaffer; great grandchildren: Addison and James Delaini, Waylon, Evelyn, Olivia, and Braxton Shaffer, and Weston, Piper, and Reagan Blough. She was a 1955 graduate of Jenner Boswell Joint High School. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church. A private viewing and service will be held at the convenience of the family. Rev. Mike Dunlap officiating. Interment Beam Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to North Star Youth Outreach, 320 Allegheny St., Boswell, PA 15531.
