Susan Spangler Obituary

Susan May Spangler, 67, of Somerset, died June 12, 2025 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Aug. 9, 1957 in Somerset, daughter of Vernon Dale Whipkey and Deloris K. (Stern) Whipkey-Latshaw. Preceded in death by parents and step father William Latshaw. Survived by husband of 48 years Douglas Spangler; sons Jesse (Lindsey) and Brent and fiancée Stephanie McClafferty; grandchildren: Julie and Gracie Orlandi, and Cathrine, Alyssa, and Avery Spangler; and brother John (Marcia) Whipkey. She was a 1975 graduate of North Star High School. Susan attended Gray Alliance Church and formerly attended Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle. She enjoyed gardening, being with her pets, and taking pictures of nature. There will be no viewing or service at Susan’s request. Contributions may be given to Deaner Funeral Home, P.O.
