Susan Beth (Miller) Yoder

It is with deep sadness that we share with family and friends the passing of Susan Beth (Miller) Yoder of East Berlin. She formerly resided in Stoystown. Susan was born December 18, 1963 in Johnstown. She is the daughter of Charles Miller of Stoystown and Mary Ann (Mueller) Miller, who passed away 31 years ago. She was married to David F. Yoder for 36 years and they had two sons, Matthew David (Katrina) and Nicholas Charles (Katie). Her world revolved around her family. She was thrilled when Matthew and Katrina made her a grandmother to Nolan and Eleanor. Susan is a graduate of Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She started her RN nursing career working at CVMH. After moving to East Berlin she went to work at Hanover Hospital. She became the Unit Coordinator of Same Day Surgery. She held that position until she received a heart transplant in 2015. Susan is survived by her father and sisters: Kathryn (Joseph) Gallo, Stoystown, Nancy Eschrich, New Oxford, and Melissa Miller, Stoystown; niece Merritt (Elisha) Gallo; nephews John (Michelle) Eschrich and Andrew Eschrich; and great nephew Jack Burnette; sisters-in-law: Roxann (Robert) Croner and Tomalee (Ted) Sheftic; nephews Chris and Mark Sheftic; and nieces LeAnn Zimmerman and Abby Rutherford.  She has joined her mother, a great nephew, Coen Burnette, and her in-laws Dorothy and Forrest Yoder, in Heaven. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s U.C.C., Stoystown, Rev.
