Terry Alan Maust

Terry Alan Maust, 55, Rockwood, died February 8, 2026 at home. Born July 24, 1970 in Somerset, son of Donald Maust and Betty (Rayman) Gindlesperger. Preceded in death by step father Dwight Gindlesperger and father-in-law Harry Schrock. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 28 years, the former Suzanne Schrock; children: Samantha and Malachi Maust; sisters: Lisa (Eric) Brant, Debbie (Chad) Koval, Diane (Victor) Gross, and Darlene Berkey; and mother-in-law Mary Schrock. He was a 1988 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and was a US Army veteran who served during the Gulf War. Terry was a corrections officer at SCI Somerset. Member of New Hope Baptist Church, Somerset. Terry was a loving husband, a fun and devoted father, a beloved son and brother, a family man, an avid fisherman, a hard worker, a man of faith, a soul winner, and a good friend to others. He loved God and had a big personality. He would give his time, energy, and resources to anyone that had a need. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. The family would like to thank Windber Hospice for the excellent care they provided. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at New Hope Baptist Church, 1237 Berlin Plank Rd., Somerset, PA 15501. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
