Terry Lee Smith, 68, Somerset, died February 18, 2025 at UPMC Somerset. Born October 2, 1956 in Somerset, son of the late John H. and Gladys A. (May) Smith. Survived by his wife of 14 years, the former Melanie Miller; children: Ben (Missy), Karrie, Terry Lee II, Stacey, and Jared (fiancée Sarah Glessner) Smith, and Nathan (Jackie) and Evan (Amber) Nibert; grandchildren: Logan, Alexis, Peyton, Bentley, Alex, Damien, Mystique, Xander, Ryker, Genesis, Cooper, Makenna, Ava, Noah, and Mia; brothers: Charlie (Betsy), Dan (Sue), and William “Junior” (Carla) Smith; sisters: Gloria Gerhard and Betty (Jeff) Brant; and numerous nieces and nephews. Terry was a 1975 graduate of Somerset High School. He was a former coal miner and was retired from the activities dept. of Seven Springs. Member of Somerset Alliance Church. In his free time, Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling. He found joy in the simple moments spent with his family. He was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished “Pap”, and friend to many. Terry touched the lives of many and will be remembered for his kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.
