Thelma J. Stern, 95, Davidsville, formerly of Stoystown, died August 4, 2025 at Laurel View Village. Born June 27, 1930 in Conemaugh Twp., daughter of James and Mamie (Yoder) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, husband of 55 years William H., infant daughter Mary Lou, brothers: Freeman, Ivan, Paul, and John Miller, and sisters: Elenor Zimmerman, Mary Kaltenbaugh, and Shirley Eppley. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She attended Conemaugh Twp. High School and was employed at Dorfman and Hoffman Sewing Factory. Member of Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle, where she was the secretary and helped with Summer Bible School for decades. Thelma was a talented, self-taught seamstress, who loved family, friends, shopping, and beach vacations. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 12 noon Friday at Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle, 7415 Somerset Pike, Boswell. Rev. Gary Anderson officiating.
