Travis L. Jano, 51, Friedens, died July 17, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born January 12, 1970 in Somerset. He is survived by his five daughters and sons-in-law: Hannah “Goldie” and Tyler Evans, Caitlin and Taylor Fleegle, Chloe and Bernell Emerick, Lyndsay and Brady Walker, and Riley and Mackenen Friedline; and his grandchildren: Troy “Jackson” and Elias “Weasel Wolf” Walker, Callum “Mazoo”, Hadley “Cutie Pie” and Dawson Fleegle, and Eastin “Sweetie Pie” Emerick. He was a 1988 graduate of Somerset High School and worked as a coal miner. He had no organization memberships because he was “too cool” for them. Travis would want his family to tell everyone that he “died in Spain running with the bulls and his Brazilian girlfriends”. He was the best dad and ultimate “Pappy”. He lived fearlessly and instilled that in his family. He was a selfless individual who cared more for others than himself. His motto was “It’ll be all right”. We love you “infinity and eternity”. There will be no viewing or service at Travis’ request. Arrangements entrusted to Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142. DeanerFuneralsAndCremations.com.
