Vicki Rae Gohn-Jurgevich, 76, died peacefully in her sleep on November 17, 2020 at home in Aldie, Virginia. Born June 25, 1944 in Somerset, daughter of Mary Jane (Coleman-Gohn) Fyock and Ray W. Gohn. Preceded in death by parents, stepfather Noah J. Fyock, sister Constance Mae, granddaughter Dulce Maria Wahdan, cousin Douglas Coleman Kline, brother-in-law Dr. Joseph Jurgevich and stepbrother Larry Fyock. Survived by her husband of 39 years James “Slim” Jurgevich, daughters: Robin Rae Corbett- Fish-Gohn, Christi Lynn Corbett and Jerri Lee (Hasan) Wahdan; grandchildren: Charles William Corbett, Jesse Alexander & Derek Antonio Wahdan, Coleman Rae & Helen Jean Fish (Father: Erick Fish); cousins: Alicia (George) Wetmiller, Jen & Allyson Sherlock, Sherrie & Tiffany Mayse, JoAnne Coleman-Troll, Rodney & Dan Gohn; in-laws: Nancy & Gail Jurgevich; step siblings: Nancy, Terry & Tom Fyock; special family and friends: Maria, Joseph Jr., Jody & Lily Jurgevich, Diane Speicher-Kline, “Aunt Patti” Caballero, “Sissy” Wood, Lula Reynolds, Ali Fisher, Lindsey Dahl and Steven Macy Kessler III. She attended Forbes High School and was a member of Stoystown United Church of Christ. She was a detail-orientated employee at Somerset Hospital for 30+ years who would always “take care of it for you”. She was ‘Nana Nature’ to her grandchildren, exploring the outdoors and sharing age-old wisdom about the magical wonders of nature through story and song. She enjoyed reading and was the ultimate caregiver. She nurtured babies, elderly grandparents, friends and relatives in the most caring and selfless manner imaginable. She will be remembered for her gentle, loving heart and her fierce independence. Due to the pandemic and her requests, there will be no public services. An online tribute is being planned.
