William Leroy Ohler 89, Hyndman, formerly of Fairhope, died April 29, 2019 at House of Journey's Rest, Somerset . Born April 10, 1930 in Conemaugh Township, Cambria County. Son of the late William A. and Janey (Fessler) Ohler Preceded in death by parents, wife of 67 years Mary Jane (Emerick), daughter Janet M. Cook, brother Clarence Ohler. Survived by children: Nina and husband William Donaldson, Somerset, William C. and wife Janie Ohler, Shanksville, son-in-law Ray Cook, Somerset; sister Loretta Bloom, Florida; sisters-in-law Sally Rice and Alberta Burt; brother-in-law James Emerick; grandchildren: Tammi (Michael) Baker, Marcy (Robert) McVicker, Jan (Stanley) Addair, Joseph (Shauna) McQuade, William (Marissa) Ohler, Jonathan (Holly) McQuade and Elizabeth (Kimmel) McCoy; 25 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Bill was a hardworking man and helped anyone that he could. He was a mechanical problem solver and inventor as witnessed by anyone that ever passed his home in Fairhope. He worked with his son in rebuilding wrecked cars for many years after retiring from coal mining. He continued helping with his children and grandson with construction projects as recent as last year. He was physically strong that his granddaughters would bet on Pap to win in a fist fight despite his eighty-some years. He was known for being the family videographer and wanted to record the family history. He created many DVDs to be viewed by future generations. Member of the U.M.W.A.
